Most romantic hotel stays

Too busy to go for a romantic getaway after the festive periods? Book a room this Valentine instead and get busy with your partner!

The Scarlet

The first of its kind in Singapore, this luxury boutique hotel has boudoir and seduction spelt all over it. It’s housed in an original 1924 Art Deco building, which architectural detailing has been retained and lovingly restored. The interior design and furnishing are a variety of textures and colours that provide a dramatic and daring mood. Its restaurant is aptly named Desire while its bar is called Bold. There are 80 rooms that come with cable TV, DVD and CD players and complimentary high-speed Internet access. There’s also an outdoor spa tub that overlooks Chinatown – how’s that for foreplay?  Don’t miss its Tease Me All Night package (February 7-14) for V-Day. For $360++ per night at their Deluxe room, you get a Lover’s Kit, a bottle of Laurent Perrier bubbly, praline macaroons and 20 percent off their Valentine’s Day set dinner at Our Korner or Breeze.

Bay Hotel

Officially opening on 15 February to promotional rates, grab this chance to preview Singapore’s newest hotel that directly faces the bridge to Sentosa. So you can expect a sweeping view of the southern bay of our island. We love the extremely chic exterior and its idyllic location in Telok Blangah. Set at the foot of Mount Faber, the rooms look out to Sentosa and the foliage of Mount Faber. If these sweet vistas don’t do it for you, there’s always the free use of X-Box, Playstation and Wii – perfect for holing you and your Valentine for some, well, indoor fun.

Capella

Rediscover the wonders being close to nature do to us at the immensely luxurious Capella. Surrounded by greenery and with the South China Sea at the backyard, you can expect a combination of water and earth elements – a perfect combination to balance the yin and yang. In a calm state of mind, we can focus on romance and this February, Capella has a selection of Valentine’s Day packages to ensure couples maximise their romantic escapades.  you could also consider Capella’s P.S. I Love You spa package ($688++) which includes a foot ritual and scrub in their private garden, a two-hour head-to-toe massage with rose and jasmine oils, a sensual bath with Ylang Ylang oil and rose petals and tea. To complete a Capella experience, a trip to the world-renowned Auriga Spa, which is known for its distinctive moon-inspired treatments, is a must.

Oasia Hotel

We know it’s rather unlikely, given that Oasia Hotel is somewhat known as a “convenient accommodation” for international patients and visitors around the hotel’s venue at Novena Specialist Centre (and possibly Tan Tock Seng Hospital) to target the growing medical tourism market here. However, we cannot resist The Oasis on the eighth floor of the hotel, which comprises a roof terrace retreat that has 360-degree views of the cityscape amidst bamboo gardens and a 20-metre infinity pool. There are also Jacuzzi facilities, cabanas next to the pool for rejuvenating massages and bathroom amenities are from Thai spa brand Thann – all the necessary factors for a great romantic experience.

Naumi Hotel

Staying at an aesthetically pleasing accommodation with an awesome view to boot is essential to create the ideal setting for romance. Naumi’s intimate rooftop pool offers a spectacular bird’s eye view of the Lion City and is the highlight of a Valentine’s Menu the hotel is offering from 10 to 14 February. Expect a five-course dinner specially created by Naumi’s sous chef Vincent – from a light and invigorating appetizer to a choice of gratifying mains and everything delectable in between. We suggest extending the love in the air to the beautiful executive patio suite with its alfresco patio with landscaped greenery.
