A BARBEQUE REVOLUTION IS COMING TO SINGAPORE

Stoke brings the finest natural produce from around the world, right to your doorstep, and on to your grill.

Stoke is the beginning of a new age of fine barbequed cuisine, in the comfort of your own home. Stoke is the familiar and irresistible flavour of a barbeque (BBQ), crossed with the gourmet, upmarket taste of a lavish restaurant; a feast for the modern city-dweller.

The brainchild of Chris and Ruth, a couple who love the fantastic BBQ culture in Singapore, Stoke curates gourmet produce from around the world into BBQ parcels for 4, 8, 12, or more. BBQ lovers have a choice between a basic meats parcel, and an exceptional luxury parcel, filled with meats and appetisers. Plus, enjoy the convenience of home delivery.

So what makes Stoke different? It’s strong, distinct flavours and duty of care to you, the customer. Each of their products comes from a free-range or organic environment, with extra-special care taken to ensure animal welfare and your satisfaction.

With award-winning 96% organic British pork sausages, acorn-fed Spanish Pork Iberico, organic Australian beef and lamb, and tasty appetisers including gourmet patés, giant olives, and Manchego cheese, Stoke BBQ parcels also come with recipe cards to help you create the perfect sides and salads to complement your BBQ feast.

Co-founder, Chris.R.Vethaviyasar, shares his vision: “We’ve built a small network of artisan and heritage producers from around the world, who are passionate about what they do. At Stoke, our goal is to share their finest produce with people in Singapore. For expats, it’s like reuniting them with the familiar flavours of their home BBQ. Those new to Singapore may find this the perfect opportunity to hang out at the pool and use the BBQ pit.

One of the things we love to do when we travel is to visit farmers’ markets. This gives us a glimpse of what locals enjoy on their weekends, perhaps with a bottle of wine, in the company of family and friends. We’re always excited to discover places where ‘farm to table’ is very much alive, and we want to help bring back this experience to expats’ homes in Singapore.”

Stoke launches on the 23rd of February 2015 via kickstarter.com, a crowd-funding site. The funding will help with shipment of inventories and to create an amazing website. Chris and Ruth hope that many will share their BBQ philosophy, and pledge their support for Stoke. In April, Stoke will showcase their specialties and offer a simple grilling demonstration at an evening BBQ dinner (tickets available via kickstarter.com).
